Discovered Cup Of Tea House today after a visit to Betws from further up the coast. What an emporium of delicious delights! We were kindly welcomed by Marco who introduced us to the wide selection of teas along with a sensational smelling session; rhubarbs, spices, mints, orange, strawberry cream and many more. As a coffee lover, I followed Marco's advice on the Istanbul Sunrise which has a delicious coffee smell, and also chose the ginger and lemon which has the aroma of lemon sherbert, and tastes just as delicious! After a long day walking, it has been a pleasure to unwind with a lovely pannad. Looking forward to sipping on the Istanbul Sunrise. Will most definitely be returning to add to my tea collection.

Within moments of stepping in Marco and Tracy made the party feel right at home. I’ll go on record saying I can normally take or leave tea but this wasn’t just about teas for tea lovers, it was an experience that completed today’s walk around Betws and an introduction to tea that transformed my appreciation for the culture of it. We chatted and laughed and left knowing we’d one day be back. Definitely a stop to put on your list!

If you like tea, this is the place for you! So many to choose from and all will a small pot opened so you can smell the tea. It's on the platform - turn right after the arch and then down some stairs. After an offer of help we were left to browse unharassed which was great ⭐

A staggering selection of high quality loose leaf teas and associated tea making utensils/pots. The owner was so passionate and enthusiastic about his product, it was great to meet him. He's very happy to answer any questions. (I can recommend the Green Tea with Ginger & Lemon).

This place really touched me! It’s also tucked away in the cutest little train station. The blends are high-quality, absolutely delicious, and there are so many varieties to choose from! The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They take the time to explain everything, answer your questions, and offer thoughtful advice. You can really feel their passion for what they do. Such a lovely place and a wonderful experience!

Well worth a visit for all who love a good cup of tea. A fantastic shop run by a wonderfuly knowledgeable man who took my caffeine intolerance very seriously and introduced me to a whole new world of tea 😃. An amazing selection of teas from all over the world. I came home with three teas to try in my new Japanese tea pot, Rooibos, decaff breakfast tea and rhubarb and custard. I'm really enjoying all three. (Russian caravan for my partner contains caffeine) I'll be back very soon! X

Had a look in here yesterday on my way back home. Its under the stairs on the train platform and opens up in to an amazing shop with a selection of teas and flavours from all over. I was greeted by a friendly member of staff who was happy to help. Bought a wild cherry blend. If you like tea of any kind then I definitely recommend a visit here!

Happened upon this hidden gem during a family trip to Betws-y-Coed; we nipped in for a look around and ended up spending close to an hour inside! Marco welcomed us inside, and his passion and incredible knowledge about tea blew us away. There is a huge selection of teas, tea pots, tea caddies, strainers and even chocolates! By most of the teas there is a small sample to smell (Marco talked us through the different types and the history of them) and they all smell incredible! Thank you Marco for sharing your time with us and showing us this wonderful shop. We will make sure that we stop here again on our next trip to Wales! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We visited Wales to learn more about our family name and wanted to enjoy a tea house. We stumbled upon Cup of Tea on their soft opening. Really amazing little spot on the train rail side of a train station. We were welcomed by the couple running it and can’t recommend it enough it. There are many options but Istanbul Surprise is a must try to those who love the smell of coffee.

Came across this fantastic shop a couple of weeks ago. What a gem of a place below the platform of the old railway station! So much so I returned this weekend with my husband. It supplies a huge array of different teas from around the world with the opportunity to smell before you buy. Quality products and the team are knowledgeable and passionate about their tea. They offer a complimentary tea experience with the opportunity to taste a couple of teas. Ordering online is also easy with information on how to make the best brew. Highly recommend and will be a regular visitor.

I visited with my husband and friends last Monday and Marco the proprietor was so knowledgeable about tea ! His time spent explaining all the options that would work for us was just amazing. Suffice to say that tea bags are now history in our house !!! Highly recommended

An incredible ‘emporium’ and such welcoming and knowledgeable staff. It will change how you understand, brew and drink tea and you’ll discover that there’s so much more to tea than the main brands you find in supermarkets.

Stumbled into this place thinking it was a cafe, and very pleased we did. Well worth visiting if you like a cuppa. Get selection of teas and Marco was very friendly and knowledgable.

If you have a few minutes to spare whilst visiting Betws-y-Coed, go down the stairs on the railway platform. You will discover Cup of Tea as we did today. What an absolutely delightful owner (well I would call him a host, Marco). I admit I am not particularly a tea drinker..🙈 However, after discussing tastes and flavours, Marco recommended I try Istanbul Surprise. Our Grandson was with us. He is 10 and loves his tea. The recommendation was Rooibos Salted Caramel. The place smells amazing and we all felt very welcome. I would absolutely recommend this place and will return.

We went on a trip to Betws-y-Coed to see the falls and happened across Cup Of Tea on our walk through. What a stunning hidden gem! Marco greeted us and immediately offered us a Tea Tour (completely free of charge- absolute bargain!) He was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and funny. Clearly someone who has found their joy and is so eager to share it with the world and that is contagious. We also had the pleasure of meeting Tracey as well, equally as joyful and passionate about the craft and I loved learning about her favourite teas and teapots! We ended up staying and learning from them for about 2 hours without even realising! Truly a pocket Tea Narnia. Of course we left with a lovely haul of tea, a new teapot and some tea cups (as well as the memory of a wonderful experience) Thank you Marco and Tracey for giving us (The Cool Girls) your time and passion, we will definitely be returning (probably several times). Cannot recommend enough!

Our visit to the Cup of Tea House in Wales was truly the highlight of our entire trip. The experience was eye-opening and introduced us to a whole new world of tea and flavours that we never knew existed. Marco’s passion, knowledge, and thoughtful explanations made all the difference. His enthusiasm for the art of tea was infectious, and he helped us appreciate the history, craftsmanship, and incredible variety that goes into every cup. By the end of our visit, we were genuinely excited to explore this world further. The products speak for themselves—we loved them so much that we ended up taking what felt like most of the shop home with us! We’re already looking forward to continuing our tea journey and trying everything we bought. This experience has even encouraged us to return to Wales in the future. If you’re visiting, we can’t recommend the Cup of Tea House highly enough. It was an unforgettable experience and without a doubt the highlight of our trip.

Firstly, I have to say I'm not a tea drinker. My husband, however, is a huge tea lover. He drinks everything - rooibos, green tea, black tea - you name it, he loves it. We were walking into Betws-y-Coed from our campsite and, to get there, we crossed the bridge over the railway line. By complete chance we stumbled across Cup of Tea, located on the station platform. Down the steps is a beautiful tea emporium that we would never have found otherwise. We were greeted by Marco, who was warm, engaging and incredibly knowledgeable about tea. I explained that tea really wasn't my thing - I'm definitely a coffee lover - but that my husband was in his element. Marco immediately set himself the challenge of changing my opinion! He talked us through the different teas, explaining their origins, flavours and how they should be enjoyed. I admitted that I could tolerate green tea because I knew it was good for me, but for me it had always been a case of "necking it" for the health benefits rather than actually enjoying the experience. That only seemed to make Marco even more determined! We explored the black teas, moved on to rooibos (which I'd never enjoyed), and then back to green teas. He encouraged us to smell each one and they all smelt incredible. In my usual brutally honest way, I told him I'd experienced plenty of teas that smelt amazing but tasted of absolutely nothing. Stumbled across this little gem of a tea shop while staying in Betws y Coed recently. Marco was so welcoming and had a wealth of knowledge about all the teas. I came away with quite a few bags and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the ones I’ve tried so far! I also bought a beautiful cast iron tea pot. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely shop! We came into the shop not knowing much about tea, but after Marco's expertise, we left knowing everything we needed to know about how to make a great cup of tea. Thanks to both Marco and Tracey for their time! The Chai Masala tea is lovely.

We stopped here while waiting for a train and we were not disappointed. A lovely shop with some very tasty and unique tea blends. Marco was knowledgeable and passionate about tea and that made the experience much more memorable. I will be back.

We popped into this AMAZING place yesterday whilst on our monthly visit to the beautiful Betws y Coed and we were blown away, it's a total Tea Emporium. If you love tea, you have got to go. The smell of every kind of tea and everything else, from Rum to Chocolate that they add to the teas just dazzles the senses. I'm an Early Grey girl and I bought the Sancha decaff Green/Earl Grey, had it this morning and it was beautiful 😍. Also had the Ginger and Lemon, so refreshing. I will be having the Rooibos Rum Truffle later with some Coconut milk and hubby bought the Sweet Espresso Rooibos as well. Marco was fantastic taking us through the history of tea and I have signed up for the tea tasting Workshop, just why wouldn't you?😃 Thank you Marco and Tracey for opening this AMAZING place in such a beautiful location to enjoy. ❤️

We went on a whim, and it turned out to make the whole trip memorable. A learning experience about how tea is made and the different flavours, we bought a lot from him, very affordable prices and lovely people running the shop. Marco was very bubbly and his love for his work was apparent.

Marco was incredibly generous with his time in explaining to us the origin of different types of tea and the ways to brew them. Neither my partner or I are avid tea drinkers, but both went away with a renewed interest in tea and some different loose leaf blends to try! Wonderful shop, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, an unexpected pleasure in our trip to betws-y-coed.

Thank you so much to Marco, who took the time to teach our group a lot about tea, gave us a tour of some of his bestsellers and recommended teas for different tastes. He clearly knows a lot about the tea business and is very passionate about it, and we all benefited from that knowledge and passion! Such great atmosphere and lovely people

We discovered this lovely little tea shop during our road trip through Wales, while visiting the beautiful village of Betws-y-Coed, and what a wonderful find it was! Tucked away in the charming railway station, Cup of Tea is a little paradise for tea lovers. The shop is full of character, but what truly made our visit special was the incredibly warm and friendly couple who welcomed us. Their kindness, enthusiasm and knowledge of tea were simply exceptional. We left with four different teas, some of them recommended, and every single one has been absolutely wonderful! We’ll definitely be back someday. Betws-y-Coed is such a charming place, and this little shop is every bit as charming as the village itself. A truly delightful discovery and an absolute must for any tea lover visiting the area!

We popped in to the cup of tea house on a whim....what a lovely surprise we got once inside. Who knew there could be so many teas. Thanks to to expertise of the owner, he was happy to explain the differences in the teas and now we are ready to embark on a 'new adventure' as Marco put,starting with finding our tea of choice in our new tea pot. Couldn't recommend this place enough. What an enchanting host, who is knowledgeable beyond belief and a pleasure to talk to. Only wish we'd have had more time.

I never thought that a highlight from a holiday (that involved amazing hikes, great food, and lovely galleries) would be a tea shop. But here I am, writing this review with my cupboard filled with tea. Macro gave us and a few other guests an impromptu tour that was captivating and educational. His passion was completely infectious! The blends they put together smell and taste phenomenal and the experience of purchasing and drinking it is so special. Even if you have no interest in tea, or your only experience is English Breakfast tea, I think you'll come away from this shop with a new appreciation of the world of tea.

I felt so blessed that we discovered this gorgeous little shop. Tucked away downstairs I mistakenly thought it was a tea room and so glad I was because when we got down there it was so lovely and cool compare to the 30 something degree heat outside. I was greeted by Marco and his wife and , marco is so knowledgeable and passionate about tea i learned so much ftom him about my favourite drink in just 10 minutes. After smelling some incredible aromas eminating from these little bags. I happen to say I could really do with a cup of tea and to my amazement he sat us down and went to make us some. The quality and the taste of the tea was out of this world anyone who is a tea lover will understand the difference between tea leaves and supermarket teabags. This little shop sells high quality tea leaves in every flavour imaginable. My friend doesn't drink tea but ended up walking out with 2 bags and a teacup. I also got some special blend earl grey, rhubarb and custard and lime and ginger. I will definately be visiting again very soon and wish the owners all the best in their new venture and hope they do well because they have put so much hard work and effort into making this shop very unique and special. Thankyou Marco can not believe you know sharm so well.
