They say it’s non stop action and they are right, it’s definitely the best rafting experience i have ever had with Francesco as a very good and funny guide.

We had an amazing experience with Sjoa Rafting AS during our short rafting trip. We met in the morning at 10:00, where the team provided us with all the necessary equipment, including wetsuits and safety gear. After a short 15-minute bus ride to the starting point, our guides gave us a thorough safety briefing and clear instructions before we set off. The guides were very professional, friendly, and made sure everyone felt safe and confident throughout the trip. The rafting itself was absolutely fantastic – full of excitement, beautiful scenery, and unforgettable moments. During the trip, a photographer captured photos of the adventure, which were available for purchase afterwards for 180 NOK per person. The whole activity was very well organized from start to finish, and we highly recommend Sjoa Rafting AS to anyone looking for an enjoyable, safe, and memorable rafting experience.

I would definitely recommend going rafting with this company. Enthusiastic and helpful guides who will ensure you have fun on the river. Our first time as a family rafting and it was a brilliant place to begin. Our guide Taylor was clearly really skilled and determined to make sure everyone on board had a great time.

We spent 3hours at rafting on Sjoa, 11km full of great fun, amazing views, fresh water, smaller and bigger rapids. We had three amazing guides, Francesco, Prashan and photographer Kuba who made wonderfull photos from our trips! Thanks a lot for such nice moments you prepared for our group :0)

Super fun activity with a friendly gide. The nepal dude with white helmet is a super funny gide and did an excellent job to get the boat to best parts of the river. He listened to our expactation and tried to get us the best experience possible. I would defnitly like to come back!!

Today I experienced the most incredible rafting trip! Our guide was the short and funny guy named Proshant (See? We learned ur name :)) and all of us had so much fun! If I could, I would spend my whole summer rafting with you guys! Awesome

5th time going for rafting here in Sjoa with friends and just like last year; it was a great experience! We had a fun day on the river despite low flow. Again; all of the staff was really friendly and service-minded; even when we arrived after closing hours due to traffic. And our special mention this time goes out to our great guide Taylor! Not to be recommended. Cabins not only small, but no running water or toilet. No ventilation and very hot. Showers very narrow, outdated, no hooks etc. Guest kitchen without utensils and dirty. Very close to busy E6, Lots of noise.

Max is a pretty chill guide and nice to Talk to.

This place is awesome! Staff represents a fun funky mix of nationalities and personalities coming together to make for an incredible experience for their customers. Love the cabin feel and flow through the facilities. Fun signage throughout adds to the appeal. Ample facilities for parking, storage of personal items and changing. Given the amount of wet suits in the changing rooms, the only down side is the funky odor…. Ew. The team makes a point of safety first and takes it very seriously from the wet suits to life jacket to multiple safety briefings to bringing along a medical dry bag in case of emergencies. Such fun people leading the rafts and they truly play to the crowd steering adventurous groups into the real white water and more timid groups through the (boring) flat stuff. Definitely a work out but nothing a reasonably fit person couldn’t handle. Our rafting adventure included a delicious, huge and body warming lunch. We had a soup with a mix of veggies and meats along with a huge assortment of breads and rolls with butter. So delicious.

Had an amazing few days here rafting & camping. It is a beautiful spot and the rafting team and staff on site are all super friendly. Shout out to Schrodi who captained us down the river safely & Armon who looked after us on site. One of our favourite memories of Norway.

This place is Awesome, i did 2 great rafting tours with good instructors. Everyone on the staff was very kind and in for a laugh, and even after the rafting was done, it was still a lot of fun, with a good Bonfire and a very nice bar area so easily a 5* rating. If i ever come back to Norway i will most definitely go rafting here again!

It’s my second time in Sjoa, and the whole team are super professional, and they make you feel safe even when you are scared. You can buy pictures from your trip if you want to keep with you. You'll feel you are alive! 😅 …

An absolute must do!!! I had fantastic time rafting with Ben as our guide. I couldn’t recommend a more professional and fun bloke to take us out rafting. He made me feel so safe and comfortable, especially for someone like me who hadn’t had much experience in rough water conditions. I did the 5h tour with guide Pedro. It was amazing! We all got wet as intended! 🙂 We got to try some wave surfing and a controlled flipping of the boat. All felt very safe. Sjoa Rafting is located right by the river. Picturesque setting with fresh facilities. Definitely recommend 👌

Had an amazing raft trip with Ben from Australia. Man - the whole trip was fun and exciting - and we felt super safe the entire time. Ben was full of enthusiasm and a super fun tour guide to be with - would 100 percent go with him again! Honestly one of the best places in the area for any sort of activities! The people working are super friendly and the guides are super fun. Prices are really good.

The location is beautiful, right on the riverbank of the Sjoa River. The area has numerous hot tubs and an outside bar with a big selection of beer, perfect for relaxing after an exciting day on the water and offering stunning views of the river and nature. With 15 years of paddling experience, I can say this rafting base stands out. The food is delicious, with a variety of options to suit different tastes, and the staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Their knowledge and enthusiasm add to the overall enjoyment. What I appreciate most as a professional guide is that the guides and management are a vital part of the local community, putting safety and happy guests before profit. You can even find a few local paddling legends among the team of guides. The combination of thrilling rapids, excellent facilities, and warm hospitality makes this rafting base an unforgettable destination. It’s a fantastic place to experience the excitement of rafting while enjoying the comforts of a welcoming base.

100/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. whether you are in the area or contemplating taking the trip, DO IT!!! the whole process was so smooth and a highlight of our 2 week norway trip. we arrived about 10 min early, parking readily available, checked in at the desk (made our reservations the night before) there is a little bar with snacks, tables, restrooms. we made the mistake of thinking we had to change prior to putting on our wetsuits but later found out all of the info we needed would be provided in the team huddle held in the main corridor. the team huddle went over head to toe instructions on how to properly don all rafting attire. we then split into men and women’s dressing rooms and were provided wet suits for each personal fit. (we wore our bathing suits under & wool socks- went mid july, and we were comfortable not freezing. they do recommend wearing wool in the cooler seasons and especially bring your own wool socks) we then were personally fitted for a wet suit jacket, water booties, a helmet, and life jacket. (don’t worry about needing water, taste the crisp river water with your hands as you raft along) once everyone was outfit ready we boarded the bus to the launch point. it was probably about a 15-20min bus ride. which was entertained by the personable and pleasant staff. we even learned that the lovely lady driving the bus had previously been a raft guide and was a valuable part of her family business, which had been around and grown for many years now. we deboarded t…

Great experience! We did the Rafting day-trip and it was wonderful! The guides were incredible! We also stayed in one of the cabins and it was fully equipped! We also enjoyed the jacuzzi at night to relax after the challenging day. An amazing and beautiful place!

Spend the weekend here with my friends and it was really one of the best weekends of my life! We saw a spectacular northern lights on Friday and the rafting was dauntingly beautiful, yet I always felt completely safe as we had a very experienced guide. The campsite is very cute with lovely handdrawn signs and drawings all around the terrain that is right next to the bright blue stream.

FIKK IKKE SITTE SAMMEN Vi bestilte rafting sammen for 4 personer, da vi kom dit sa de at vi måtte splittes i to båter fordi det var andre som ville sitte sammen, det ville vi også og det er derfor vi booket det sammen for å forsikre oss dette. Dårlig å ikke gi informasjon om dette på forhånd da vi reiste i flere timer dit og gledet oss til å gjøre denne aktiviteten sammen… vi betalte også like mye som de andre og vi synes vi burde fått den samme muligheten som de andre.

Came here for a weekend trip with my work. It was my first time rafting, and our guide, the Aussie, Ben, was awesome! He was knowledgeable about the river and very good with guiding/showing us what to do. Loads of fun. I would highly recommend coming here for rafting!

We had the most wonderful and exciting experience on the 3 hr rafting trip with our guide Kul, who made us feel very safe. Thanks also to the rest of the crew who made everything run smoothly. Fantastisk opplevelse med Sjoa rafting! Vi ble tatt godt imot for deretter å få en gjennomgang av utstyr med en av guidene. Alle beskjeder var tydelige, uten rom for misforståelser. Deretter skiftet vi, gikk på en buss og ble fraktet til startområdet hvor det ventet en ny gjennomgang av sikkerhet i båten, padling og hvordan vi skulle oppføre oss dersom ting skjedde på vannet. De ulike gruppene ble fordelt på båter og min gruppe på 2 havnet i båt med 3 andre fremmede mennesker (som vi fikk svært god kontakt med i løpet av de neste timene). Guiden vår Pepe var helt fantastisk, og han tilpasset turen til at vi var 5 adrenalin-junkier i båten som ville ha de største bølgene og mest mulig action. Superhyggelig guide som både skravlet og spurte oss om ting underveis på turen, samtidig som han alltid hadde stålkontroll på båten. Vi kunne ikke vært i bedre hender ❤️. Deilig lunsj i basen halvveis på turen før vi ble kjørt tilbake for en ny runde (den lange turen vi i utgangspunktet hadde bestilt kunne ikke gjennomføres grunnet høy vannstand, men det synes jeg Sjoa rafting kompenserte godt for med redusert pris og et par ekstra timer med moro). Det hele ble avsluttet med en heftig svømmetur i bølgene og bildegjennomgang i baren. Jeg betalte 300 kroner for over 100 bilder som var svært profesjonelle og fanget alle øyeblikkene med glans. Gutta som jobber her vet hva de driver med. De skaper en hel opplevelse, gir tydelige beskjeder med en morsom twist, og skaper en sterk følelse av…

What a fun adventure rafting down Sjoa! We stayed at Sjoa Rafting's excellent facilities, enjoying ourselves in the spa and local bar. The rafting experience was very guided by professional instructors that made a challenging experience safe and fun (a special thanks to our rafting guide Benjamin for expertly navigating our boat through the hurdles of the river before he cooked us a nice dinner while we were drying up). Will definitively return in the future!

Incredible experience! Fun, lots of adrenaline, lots of big rapids and white water! I can really recommend Sjoa Rafting full day trip! We were on a full day rafting including lunch. We had the best ever safety presentation given by a dude from Australia/Tasmania. He was lots of fun and did really communicate all the safety rules very clearly. We really felt we were in good hands and safety was of high priority at Sjoa Rafting. Our guide, Kul from Nepal, was really great. He took good care of us and had a high clear voice - this was of great importance safety wise - because the river was really loud with the white water roaring all around us. The rafting was wilder than anything we have tried in the US and in New Zealand. Don't be sad if it rains on your day of rafting. The river will be filled with water and will be even wilder (the long tour might be cancelled though because it is TOO wild). After lunch your second trip down will be even wilder because the rain has come down the mountainside to the river. We also did some "body rafting". We jumped out from a cliff into the white water. Very nice buildings and equipment. Advice: One person in our boat fell out (at a dangerous par of the river) mainly because he forgot to follow the safety instructions. For your own and other peoples safety listen carefully and the 15 years age limit is the minimum. Wear woolen socks and woolen ski-underwear under your wetsuit. It is very cold even in summer. Very exciting tour with Sjoa Rafting and our guide Max on the boat. Our short day trip was a lot of fun, everthing was organised perfectly well. In aug 2024 we went rafting with the family. Ivar was our guide on two trips. Very professional and accommodating. First the Sjoa short trip for 15+ years of age in the morning.. The river gets pretty wild at times and through a beautiful canyon as well. The photographer with the company took spectaculair pictures. Big smiles on their faces. Great fun and excitement. In the afternoon we took the youngest (11) on the family rafting trip. Less wild water, more suitable for younger kids, but more games and fun. Using the raft as a waterslide and jumping of rocks into the river. In the evening a great meal of the grill at the Sjoa Rafting AS company.

I really had a great time canyoning and rafting! Especially with our guide Pedro, he was the best! He made us feel safe and we had fun.
